Abstract

Data Description: Convective Cloud Detection (Himawari-8)

Time Period: May–September, 2016 and 2017
Temporal Resolution: 10 minutes
Spatial Resolution: 0.02 degrees
Data Types:

  • Convective Cloud Detection Mask

This dataset provides high-resolution observations of convective clouds over eastern China, based on Himawari-8 Level 1 data. The data covers two warm seasons (May–September, 2016 and 2017) and is available at 10-minute intervals, offering a detailed view of convective cloud dynamics during these periods. With a spatial resolution of 0.02 degrees, the dataset ensures precise geographical accuracy, making it highly suitable for meteorological and climatological studies. Key parameters include convective cloud detection mask, which are essential for understanding cloud formation, weather patterns, and climate modeling.
